One of my personal goals is to better understand the whitewashed world we live in and do more study of the amazing accomplishments from communities of color that are too often ignored. I am not claiming to be an expert on manuscripts from around the world, (far from it!), rather consider me a guide. There is so much to learn by celebrating meaningful manuscripts from around the globe, observing closely, studying examples, and mimicking forms, shapes, and colors.

OPTION 1: CLASS ONLY
Handouts will be provided digitally to students. Student will acquire necessary supplies, and digital documents are available at a Google doc folder made available March 23rd. Be aware that a couple of the handouts are printed on transparencies (if you have a light box, the transparency is not as critical), one handout is on legal-sized paper.
Class fee: $150

OPTION 2: CLASS & MIXED SUPPLY PACKET
If you have some supplies, but need others, copy the order form at the supply link here, identify the items you need, email me a copy and I will confirm the final cost after adjusting the shipping for your order. Packets will be shipped March 23^rd. Please order by March 20^th at the latest so I can be sure to have the supplies you need.

COST:  $150
(I am not using Etsy for this class because supplies are not being shipped until March 23^rd—and Etsy gets cranky when things don’t get shipped immediately. 🙂

ONLINE INFORMATION

The class will be recorded and made available to students.

TIME: Each 2-hour class is a diverse combination of learning about the art of illumination, learning skills, seeing samples, student lettering and creating projects. There will also be an assignment each week to practice the skill that was introduced. This return to illumination is a great way to create the fine motor skills necessary for illumination.

Each class also builds on the class before and does not repeat the same information.
