Art of the Book
SUMMARY
We tend to think of books as the standard bound publications that fill the bookshelves of our wonderful libraries. And yet, books can be incredibly diverse, extremely unique, full of surprises and even sculptural. During the 90-minute program, I present several art books that myself and bookbinder Pat Faust have created. After this introduction, the participants and I will create two of their very own unique book structures–playing with dimension, papers and materials. Fundamentally, this dynamic workshop is about independent thinking and tapping into our creative potential. Books are the messenger.
