Joy Ornament

I’m so happy to announce my fourth annual holiday ornament! This year with the wonderful step of getting married and building a life with Chris and becoming pregnant, my theme is JOY! The ornaments are still hand assembled and even though I haven’t mentioned this feature before, they will continue to be made of at least 40% post consumer recycled materials. Don’t worry, the structural boards are still museum quality, acid-free, I just use the pieces that are generated during framing. The tassels may vary slightly—but, boy, aren’t they marvelous?! Plus, the gold paper of the background is a wonderful Japanese Rakusui paper. The way I understand it, the lacy holes get created when they drop water on the wet paper fibers.
