Learning Copperplate

Please print handouts at 100% scale:
Be sure to use high quality paper for the guidelines and tracing sheets. Regular copy paper will bleed and the paper fibers will tear and get caught in your nib.

LETTERING SUPPLIES:
- Nikko G pointed nib qty 2
- oblique nib holder (right-handed and left-handed)
- straight nib holder (left-handed)
- ink 1 oz is plenty to get started
- glass jar to mix your walnut ink crystals
- pipette to transfer the ink, qty 2
- dinky dip to hold ink in small container, Square
- pad of practice paper (place guidelines underneath and they will show through)
- handouts (see above)
- slant board with padded surface, non-slip pad and prop for board
